President's Letter

We were all saddened by the passing of Bob Sinclair. He was a gregarious man that enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. All in the Saab community that know of his accomplishments are keenly aware of his contributions to the brand and his lasting impression on the automobile industry. There were many occasions where Bob made presentations that were outstanding. There are two that are foremost in my mind.

As this issue of NINES is commemorating the Saab 99, I thought I would give my history with the first year of that model. I was stationed at Nha Trang AB Vietnam from 1966-67. Saab USA is of course at the top of the list. Our hope is that we all have a prosperous and healthy New Year!

President's Letter

As the highest-ranking SCNA official attending the 2008 Saab Owners’ Convention I would like to start by thanking all of the volunteers! Among so many happy people who worked so hard we had Sherry Connelly, Karen Davies and Diana Schaefer at registration for the better part of two days as well as Harry and Karen Davis who stuffed goodie bags before the convention even started, Sherry and Mike Connely, Marie Smith and the folks from NESA who helped run the showfield, Greg Abbott who put together the slide show for the banquet, Tom and Bonnie McKim who worked at the parts tent, and Pierre Belperron of Charles River Saab.
